Wine: At Marion Street Cheese Market, we believe in giving our customers an eclectic, unpretentious, and well-rounded (yet off-the-beaten-path) experience with wine. First and foremost, we choose wines that are friendly with what is closest to our hearts—cheese, of course, as well as responsible production. We try to source as many locally, organically or sustainably produced wines as we can. While the “local” part is not that abundant in Illinois, the organic and sustainably farmed part is actually rather simple. Although just a handful of our wines are certified organic, a great majority of winemakers around the world have realized the value of planting, maintaining and harvesting their vineyards in a sustainable manner. The results of their meticulous efforts are evident in nearly every bottle you might pick from our shelves.

Beer: Beer and cheese—both separately and paired together—are magical creations. The two go hand in hand, and have for centuries. Think about it. Both are traditional farmstead products with the same principals. Both take natural ingredients, introduce them to natural bacteria… and voilá, you have beer (or cheese). Marion Street Cheese Market aims to honor and showcase the common origins and pairings of cheese and beer. We will have five spectacular—oftentimes local—examples of craft brewing on tap at all times, along with 55 different bottle selections that will span the wide range of styles, regions and brewers available to us today. Consider this your invitation to come on in, take a seat at the bar, and be ready for some fantastic beer and company.
